About Us
What We Believe
At Centre Pointe our Core Values are based on biblical teachings, and we regard them as foundational for living our lives as individuals and serving our Lord as a church. We believe in salvation by faith in Jesus, the authority of the Bible in all things, and the value of the fellowship of believers. We value our relationship to God, our relationship to each other, holiness, faith, simplicity, generosity, diversity, and giving God our very best.
The Fourth Dimension
The Fourth Dimension (4-D), our Youth Ministry, meets regularly, with the adult life groups and on their own. The purpose of 4-D is to help our students understand the vastness of God's love and then help them live their lives so that they can experience and share God's love and walk in a full relationship with Him. 4-D includes the Creative Movement Team and Youth Band, ministry opportunities, fellowship, retreats and more!
Our Pastor and Staff
Reese Linnell serves as the pastor of Centre Pointe. Reese has been married to Roxanne since 1988 and together they have three daughters and one Golden Retriever. As a family, the Linnells enjoy attending sporting events, traveling almost anywhere, and walking the Golden Retriever on the beach.
Alex Linnell has lead worship at Centre Pointe since 2014. She also provides leadership for the youth ministry, creative movement team, and other ministries.
Our Story
Following the lead of God's Spirit, a group of Christians began Centre Pointe in 2007 with the goal of "Making Jesus relevant in the real world right now". Through worship, discipleship, ministry, and fellowship, the Centre Pointe family has provided ministry from Stanly County to Charlotte and Honduras to India.

Centre Pointe is a partner in the Metrolina Baptist Association of over 150 churches representing diverse cultures, many languages, and a variety of ministry styles.
